Anne began her career in Washington serving in the U.S. Senate in multiple roles, including Director of Constituent Services and Scheduler to the then-senior senator from North Carolina and Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Her experiences on Capitol Hill from 1995 to 2003 bring invaluable expertise to the Merchant McIntyre team.

Subsequently, Anne served as a Presidential Appointee in the George W. Bush Administration at the U.S. Department of Energy as Director of Scheduling and Advance to the U.S. Secretary of Energy. During her tenure from 2003 to 2009, Anne managed a team of 15 employees in the day-to-day logistical operations of the Secretary, as well as the planning and execution of travel arrangements in coordination with the White House, federal agencies, and U.S. embassies. Anne also advised the Secretary and senior agency staff on strategic scheduling and operational matters.

Prior to Merchant McIntyre, Anne worked at the Nuclear Energy Institute, a Washington, D.C.-based policy organization for the nuclear technologies industry. She continued her role in operational management and member service in supporting NEI’s Senior Vice President of Communications.

Most recently, Anne has worked as an independent consultant and as an active community volunteer by holding multiple Parent Teacher Association (PTA) board positions and roles over the last 10 years.  She currently serves on the Fort Hunt Little League board.

A native of North Carolina, Anne resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband, two children, and aptly-named beagle, Wahoo.
