Improving Telemedicine

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Office of Rural Development (RD) will be releasing the FY 2019 solicitation for the Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) grant program in the next few months. RD anticipates making many awards of roughly $500,000 each.

The DLT program assists rural communities in acquiring telemedical technologies so that local health care providers who serve rural residents can link to other medical professionals and needed expertise located at distances too far to access otherwise.
